NIMS Fertility and Research Centre, located in the beautiful mountain view, has been the premier fertility centre since 2013. It is a unit of NIMS and the Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The Department of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery offers treatment to infertile couples.
The Department Offers services by expert and highly trained specialists in the management of male and female infertility.
The Department of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at NIMS & R Provides comprehensive fertility care, including advanced diagnostic evaluation. We provide facilities for IVF, ICSI, cryopreservation, PGT, and laser-assisted hatching. Advanced services such as fertility preservation for cancer patients are also available here.
We conduct hormonal evaluations of couples, basic and advanced USG - Color Doppler, and provide facilities for semen analysis (ranging from basic to advanced - CASA technology).
The department runs an MCH course in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. NIMS University offers a foreign exchange program in the MCH course through the NIMS International Student Exchange Program.
Our team consists of expert and trained specialists working under the experienced guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Alka Gahlot, Head of the Department. We have advanced embryology services with experienced embryologists. Our center is equipped with an advanced embryology lab, hi-tech operation theatres, labor rooms, NICU, and PICU With neonatology Super-specialist department and Embryology Lab of international standards.

Pioneering Masterclasses and Events in Reproductive Medicine
Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar
Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar, Director and Consultant Laparoscopic Oncosurgeon at Galaxy Care Multispeciality Hospital in Pune, is a pioneering figure in Indian medical history. He successfully performed India's first uterine transplant, a landmark procedure held on February 3, 2024 (Saturday). Dr. Puntambekar's expertise in laparoscopic surgery and his innovative approach have significantly advanced medical care in the country.
His groundbreaking work has paved the way for new possibilities in medical science, offering hope to countless patients. Dr. Puntambekar continues to inspire the medical community with his dedication and vision..
Dr. Krishan Gopal
A master class on "Fetal Medicine" was conducted on March 17, 2024, under the guidance of our esteemed and worthy guest, Dr. Krishan Gopal.
It was an exceptional learning experience for all of us. Led by Dr. Krishan Gopal, the event featured lectures, a question-and-answer session, and a panel discussion. The live demonstration on patients by Dr. Gopal was like the cherry on the cake. Additionally, there were paper and poster presentations by students. It was a complete package of learning, and everyone left the hall filled with knowledge and a keen desire to learn and research more, all inspired by Dr. Gopal.
Dr. Himanshu Roy
The second edition of the master class was organized by the NIMS Department of Reproductive Medicine & Surgery on April 18, 2024. Our guest speaker, Dr. Himanshu Roy, shared his knowledge, insights, and experiences on "Time Lapse Imaging & Videography."
Dr. Himanshu Roy (MD, FICOG) is an infertility specialist, consultant at Srijan Fertility Clinic, Patna, and Secretary of the IFS Bihar Chapter. He is also the President of Fetal Medicine at POGS and has won various FOGSI awards at the national level. Notably, he is credited with the birth of Bihar's first IVF baby in 2003.
The session was designed to provide an in-depth understanding and practical skills in the latest techniques, which attendees could apply in their work, research, and studies. Dr. Roy had interactive sessions, shared his expertise, and demonstrated real-world applications with MCh and PG students.
Dr. Pankaj Talwar
The masterclass and workshop on "Fertility Preservation and Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation" were organized on June 22, 2027. It was a big success. Participants enjoyed learning from the expert speaker and engaging in hands-on activities with Dr. Pankaj Talwar. The event was well-organized, and everyone found the content valuable. Positive feedback highlighted the clear teaching and practical skills gained. Participants left inspired and eager to use their new knowledge.
The workshop has set a new benchmark for future events in the field.
